the College of Charleston with degrees in Business Administration and English. Tina obtained her Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina last year. Tina was previously the Children’s and Youth Services Librarian at Dorchester County Library in Summerville, and was there for 7 years. She is excited to join Team BCLS at the St. Stephen branch.

Tina is a fan of all things geeky – gaming (electronic and board), anime, sci-fi, and graphic novels are her favorite. She also enjoys cooking and watching terrible reality TV shows that have little to no social value.

The newly renovated and expanded St. Stephen Library will celebrate it’s one year anniversary in its new location next month. With more spacious areas for teens, children, and adult books and resources as well as community room, the St. Stephen Library continues to grow in circulation and program attendance. Tina is excited to continue this growth with amazing programs such as free family movies on Saturdays this fall, Kraft Kamp on Thursdays, and educational programs like a show with the Lowcountry Raptors this November. Tina has also been working with the community to bring new resources to the area such as the free Movie Under the Stars Event on Sept. 9th. In just a few weeks, Tina has already become a tremendous asset to the Berkeley County Library System as well as the St. Stephen Community.

Welcome aboard Tina!
