The virtual Wall of Faces features pages dedicated to honoring and remembering every person whose name is inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Finding photographs of the Fallen in Berkeley County was a small portion of the project to recognize these soldiers and their families. The Daughters of the American Revolution-General Marion’s Brigade partnered with the Department of Defense – Vietnam War 50th Commemoration to create events for South Carolina’s Vietnam War Survivors and Remembrance Day.

The library’s digitization librarian, also a DAR member, took on the task of finding photographs. Nineteen servicemen were identified. Three servicemen had a photo on The Wall of Faces. Sixteen servicemen’s photographs were needed. Thirteen photos were located and uploaded during the project. Since the completion of the project, loved ones have located photos of the three remaining servicemen and posted them to The Wall of Faces.
