The Learning Lab at the Moncks Corner Library is equipped with multi-sensory toys, learning kits, technology, and furniture specifically designed with a focus on sensory and motor skills to allow children the opportunity to experience the sensory and motor input they are seeking in order to “balance” their nervous system so that they may focus on learning other skills.
Highlights of the Learning Lab include multi-sensory discovery wall panels, feel and find sensory tubs, plush toys, puzzles and building sets, hands-on matching games for language building, and LeapPads(TM), and preloaded learning tablets. Berkeley Independent The Berkeley County Library System opened its Young Learner’s Toolbox Learning Lab at the Moncks Corner Library on Monday.
The area features multi-sensory toys, learning kits, and technology designed to encourage children to learn while they play in the library.
