Free Recorder Lessons for 3 – 5th Graders

Most people have memories of music lessons when they were growing up. Whether those memories are good or bad, there are some great benefits to learning music at an early age. Reading music is like learning another language. Counting out rhythm is a form of math. And the discipline gained by constant practice is a great habit for life.

Some kids want to learn music but may not have the opportunity. That’s why the Moncks Corner Library is offering free recorder lessons during the month of May for children in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Parents are welcome as well! Susan Wiley, a retired music teacher, will be teaching the class. So what are you waiting for?
